At Breakfast Buddies, we believe in providing a warm and nutritious meal to those in need, with dignity and respect served to all guests as standard.

 

Breakfast Buddies is a new initiative in Maidstone, providing a supportive weekend community for those who need it. Recognizing the importance of a nutritious breakfast for mental health and well-being, our mission is to offer a welcoming space where anyone can enjoy a meal and companionship.

 

People have been telling us for some time that one of the worst things about being street homeless is feeling invisible while other people go about their daily lives; that they feel marginalised and stigmatised. For this reason, at Breakfast Buddies, our focus goes further than simply the provision of food - we want people to feel respected, dignified and worthy of human connection.

 

We offer breakfasts every Saturday in a safe and welcoming space, providing a regular event that people can look forward to. This offers something to get up for, particularly when other local support services like the Day Centre are closed.

 

At a beautiful Location: Situated by the river, offering a serene environment for a mindful stroll post-breakfast.  

 

With comprehensive support: Beyond food, we aim to provide a network of support and resources for mental health

We are so lucky to have been given funding from the National Lottery.   

There are lots of plans to improve the food service and add extra treats over the next year.

Breakfast Buddies operates every Saturday morning from 10am till 11am.  

What if I want to get involved but don't know anyone?

Everyone - whether guest or volunteer - receives a genuinely warm welcome at Breakfast Buddies. Whatever the reason for attendance, if you want to be there, then we want you to be there. 

If you're worried about just turning up, then contact us to let us know you're coming and we will look out for you.
